Families in crisis in Bethanna didn’t ask XBoxes and iPads. Need more personal, like shampoo, socks and underwear.
On Thursday, December 15 at Richboro elementary, kindergarten students in Mrs. Wagner’s class and help fill the Delfini those needs by collecting holiday care packages of items collected donations at school.
Personal hygiene products such as SOAP, a toothbrush, a comb and shampoo eager scooped by the children and put in bags of gifts that they decorated with smiling snowman and holiday cheer. Together with the teachers, the program is also made possible by all parents of the kindergarten class.
Programme Coordinator Heather Brossman said, “the children were so excited and fun, they can’t wait to make something for someone else who does not have as much as they did, and her people in very appreciate Bethanna – it is a WIN-WIN!”
Pockets gift 50-plus distributed yesterday for families who are served by Bethanna, located on the second Pike Street in Southampton.
